His work on mathematics titled “The Principia” can be considered the most called for manual among any ever created. But his modesty played a cruel trick on the scientist. It was thought for a long time that such a person as Euclid had never existed and many wise men were behind this name. It is hard to believe that one person was able to systematize and polish all the mathematical knowledge accumulated by the classical scientists as of the 3rd century B.C.
